Meaning:
The symbol is Gan; meaning a mountain, which is the spirt of firmness and strength. At this level, the practicioner's resolution for training starts firmly rooting in the heart. The meaning of self-improvement through Taekwondo becomes deeper daily. Therefore it is recommended, to reexamine all of the learned skills so that the base for progress is strongly secured. You may experience some difficulties and obstacles mentally and physically. Effort is required to get through this stage.

- Direction: North Stance: Left Front Action: Stepping out with the Left foot, execute a Double-Low Block (one to each side)
- Direction: North Stance: Right Fighting Action: Right Front Kick
- Direction: North Stance: Right Front Action: Stepping out with the Right foot, execute a Double-Outside Block (one to each side)
- Direction: North Stance: Left Fighting Action: Left Front Kick
- Direction: North Stance: Left Front Action: Low Double-X Block, followed by a High Double-X Block
- Direction: North Stance: Left Fighting Action: Right Side Kick
