Meaning:
The symbol is Gan; meaning a mountain, which is the spirt of firmness and strength. At this level, the
practicioner's resolution for training starts firmly rooting in the heart. The meaning of self-improvement
through Taekwondo becomes deeper daily. Therefore it is recommended, to reexamine all of the learned
skills so that the base for progress is strongly secured. You may experience some difficulties and
obstacles mentally and physically. Effort is required to get through this stage.
Starting Position: Facing North, Horse Stance
- Direction: West Stance: Left Tiger Action: Turn 90 degrees left, and execute a Right Palm Block
- Direction: West Stance: Left Tiger Action: Without stepping, execute a Right Front Kick, followed by a Left Inside Block
- Direction: East Stance: Right Tiger Action: Turn 180 degrees right, and execute a Left Palm Block
- Direction: East Stance: Right Tiger Action: Without stepping, execute a Left Front Kick, followed by a Right Inside Block
- Direction: North Stance: Left Back Action: Turn 90 degrees left, and execute a Low Double Knifehand Block
- Direction: North Stance: Right Back Action: Low Double Knifehand Block
- Direction: West Stance: Left Tiger Action: Turn 90 degrees left, and execute a Reinforced Right Palm Block
